The Zeus Gas Monetization Report (formerly GAS leads) covers gas development and stranded gas monetization within the world's most significant producing basins and export hubs. For years, our publications have drawn from a deep and rich set of core capabilities at Zeus, the most important of which is our information platform which, over time, has morphed into the Virtual Energy LibraryTM, or VEL.
The VEL is a valuable source of market statistics and analysis of gas monetization and syngas developments around the globe. Our LNG modules provide subscribers and clients with comprehensive information on each and every niche and every link of the world’s LNG-supply-chain infrastructure, from localized peakshaving applications to world-class baseload export/import, and from small-volume, dedicated shorthaul chains, to portfolios capable of rationalizing the basin trade.
Our upstream modules track gas exploration, development and production around the globe, with granularity at the field level, cataloging more than 6,000 associated and non-associated gas fields. Together, these resources are crucial to the global gas practice of Zeus Energy Consulting Group. Our gasification database tracks gasification projects around the world and supports our syngas and power practice areas as well.
At Zeus, we’ve begun to think of our publications as windows through which one might catch a glimpse of the information power behind our comprehensive suite of offerings and capabilities. The Zeus Gas Monetization Report is one such window. In short, we’ve undertaken to symbiotically integrate our editorial functions and information platform with a view to offering even greater benefits to our subscribers.
Our VEL’s nine upstream modules are (1) Sub-Saharan Africa; (2) Southeast Asia & Australasia; (3) North Africa & Middle East; (4) Latin America & Caribbean; (5) Central Asian States (CAS); (6) Asia & South Asia; (7) Canada & Greenland; (8) Europe; and (9) Russia & FSU (excluding CAS). Our first upstream module, Sub-Saharan Africa, has already been released.
To illustrate our integration, one issue of the Zeus Gas Monetization Report will cover five of the nine regions, and the next will cover the remaining four. Successive issues will alternate coverage in such a way to canvass the latest developments in all nine regions around the globe every two months.
So, we hope you’ll find our new format more than just a makeover. We hope you’ll find it a means to familiarize yourself with all the useful information tools available to you through Zeus. Moreover, we hope that you’ll discover how quickly you can mine the information you need and how vital our information resources could become to your regimen. We also invite you to explore both the Zeus Gas Monetization Report and the VEL, and we hope you’ll stay tuned in as we launch a host of new modules over the next 24 months.

With more than 300 tcf of potential reserves, Sub-Saharan Africa offers one of the world’s most beguiling gas-monetization opportunities. The reserves reside in 26 countries, some of which offer favorable climates to foreign investors while others are in a complete mess. Complexity is the one common trait across the region, as some investors like Kosmos Energy and Tullow Oil strike riches beyond their dreams while others, like Devon Energy divest entirely of their interests to focus elsewhere. When compared to Russia, Iran or Venezuela, though, Sub-Saharan Africa offers far greater opportunities for those willing to take the time to find them.
For the past nine months, analysts at Zeus Development Corp have been surveying and examining gas-development plays in this region of 24.3 million square kilometers, which is roughly three times the size of the continental United States. Of the thousands of oil and gas fields and lease blocks known to exist, some 260 fields and 333 lease blocks have been identified and profiled as potential development opportunities. This report offers management from both large and small companies the opportunity to learn of gas-development prospects and projects.
This 175-page summary report presents the findings of Zeus research. Top gas prospects, leading developers and business friendly governments are profiled and ranked. The objective is to highlight observations and conclusions derived during the survey.
