Sasol Says Oryx Will Reach Nameplate Capacity in 12 Months
Oct. 9, 2008: Sasol told Reuters on Oct. 9 that its Oryx gas-to-liquids (GTL) project in Qatar would reach full production within 12 months. "We expect in the next 12 months to come up to full production," Peter Dekker, exploration manager for Sasol Petroleum International, the group's oil unit, said at the Africa Upstream 2008 oil conference in Cape Town.
Sasol's FT technology - cobalt-based catalyst are used in Sasol's Slurry Phase Distillate (Sasol SPD) process, LIFT reactor. Syngas production unit - licensed by Haldor Topsoe. Downstream product upgrading equipment provided by Chevron.
