AAEC Developing Many Stars CTL Plant

Australian Energy Co. (AEC) subsidiary Australian-American Energy Co. (AAEC) is developing the $7.4 billion, 125,000-b/d Many Stars CTL project with a 95% CO2 capture rate on the Crow Reservation in Montana.

The plant would be located in Big Horn County and initially produce 50,000 b/d of diesel, jet fuel and naphtha. AAEC plans to spend $100 million on engineering and environmental work, before beginning construction in 2012, with a 2016 startup. More...
