Global Outlook: The Changing Legal Frameworks
With the escalation of resource nationalism and increasing international environmental awareness, it would be an understatement to say that the global landscape of energy law and policy is rapidly changing. Zeus’ Database of Statutes and Regulatory Frameworks captures the progression of global energy statutes, policies and regulations to serve as an aid to energy professionals looking to quickly assess development and service opportunities in a variety of countries.
The database is separated into two sections, the U.S. and abroad, and covers some 25 countries. Through this tool, users can study the language that governs the hydrocarbon and broader energy sectors in countries outside the U.S. that are the leading producers of oil and natural gas, and, in some cases, substantial consumers. In the case of the U.S., we cover the statutes and regulations with bearing on LNG as well. As we continue to build our information platform of statutes and regulations around the globe, we’ll include the legal and regulatory frameworks of additional OECD and non-OECD LNG consuming nations. Suffice it to say that, regardless of whether you may be seeking to understand regional/national developments or global trends, the Zeus Virtual Energy Library™ can aid in your research.
